The Complete Guide To Item Upgrader

World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

The upgrade of an item can be used to increase the stats of a particular item. Based on the type of upgrade, it may raise an item's Mark level or Rarity and boost additional stats.

Upgrading equipment in The War Within requires a set number of Flightstones and Crests and each item comes with an upgrade track. Each upgrade increases the cost of the following one by a set amount.

Item Level

When an item gets upgraded, its stats increase in value. The value is the sum of an item's upgraded perks (attack magic attack and defense). The cost of upgrading items can be high depending on the upgrader you choose and the kind of upgrade you decide to do. This is due to how many perks must be replaced in order for the item to be upgraded.

The level of an item is a popular measurement of power and is visible on all tooltips of items. It is also used as a gating requirement when queueing for dungeons, scenarios and raids, and to limit the amount of PvP gear that a player can wear (since PvP is restricted to a lower level). Players can see their average level of item on their character sheet.

Using the item level can help players evaluate the power of equipment when they decide to buy or sell. It's an indicator of the damage and its quality. Comparing items from the inventory of a vendor is possible using the item's level.

On  Cases.gg , you can view the item level by pressing ALT or using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. This will show the full description of the item, including its level. It can also be located by hovering over an item with the mouse cursor, and then entering /itemlevel into chat.

There are various theories on how the calculation of the item's level is made. One theory is that the level is a numerical value derived from a formula that calculates the amount an item's stats are worth. It is based on the fact that different benefits are valued differently and that gems found in sockets boost the value of the item. This can result in a calculated item's ilvl that is often very close to Blizzard's actual item level.

It's not the only factor that affects the ilvl of an item. The degree of the area in which the item was dropped may alter its stats. For example, it could increase the item's haste or crit score. Items that drop in higher-level situations will have higher ilvl.

Item Stats

Item stats can determine the fate of an item for players. The game uses a lot of them in different ways to encourage players to play with a variety of weapons, and prevent one weapon from being "the best." The base stats on a weapon are enhanced by the weapon's stat mods which are then increased by the player's skill.

Upgrades to an item may increase its stats. The cost of upgrades is determined by the rarity of the item. An item that is white or grey, for example, will only be upgraded once and items that has rare tiers can be upgraded several times at higher prices.

Another method of altering the stats on an item is through affixes. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an item by the player and are available in all sizes and shapes. Affixes can be used to give the item extra damage, or give a specific capability to the item (such as reviving the dead or reducing cooldowns), or make the item unique by adding a special name to the item.

At present, all affixes can be changed by selecting them from the upgrade window and pressing the green button using circles arrows. This procedure will cost the player a certain amount of gold and items which can be used to add to the upgrade gauge in the same way as the other rerolling options.

In addition to rerolling affixes, players can also choose which of the available stats to be kept on an item when it is upgraded. The range of stats is determined by the item's level. However each item will contain at least one stat in that range unless they are an exclusive item or the item is a God Roll from a raid boss.

Another thing that could be changed is the possibility of upgrading equipment without having to roll the attachments, or pick which stats to boost. But, like base equipment, this would need to be carried out on a per-item basis and the interface for comparing items wouldn't show all possible stats either lost or gained at the same time.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player can increase the likelihood of locating items as well as the properties created by loot and the intensity of these properties. However, it does not directly affect damage or ability to upgrade items. It simply gives the player a chance to upgrade their equipment in earlier waves and is therefore more beneficial in the initial game run than in later ones, as most players prioritize greater weapon scaling and defense over raw damage gains.

Luck can also boost the likelihood of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade probability that increases with each level of the item and can be further increased by using an anti-material, such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.

The shields, armor and weapons come with the default Luck value of 40. These items can be improved with golden ingots or spined leather (depending on the type of material) to increase the value of 40 luck, or to increase an item's existing Luck up to 140.

Additionally, certain items, such as the Hollow weapon, which is infused with Hollow can be used to increase the damage dealt by any damage-dealing skill by 5percent. These items can be found in the shops or made with the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Not all upgrades are successful. Cash shop items can be used to increase the success rate of an upgrade or to stop players from losing their items if it fails.

The success rate of an upgrade can be seen in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the probability of successfully upgrading the item, and can be enhanced by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. There are limits to the extent to which success rates can be increased, and the overall chance of a failed upgrade cannot exceed 100%..

The success of an item can be affected by the Luck of that item. Every item has a success rate of 25 percent, and each item with Luck increases the chance of success by five percent.

The item upgrade overlays are rendered above items in the inventory. This may cause obscurity to enchantment effects or other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
